Gold Star Families Speak Out, is a chapter within Military
Families Speak Out, comprised of members whose loved ones
served in the military during the period including the build-up to the
war in Iraq (fall, 2002) to the present, and have been killed or have
died. We believe the best way to support our troops is to Bring Them
Home Now.   Our chapter was formed in 2005.

Our group is where the first place we seek peace is in our own hearts, recognizing our own and our
nation's need to grieve. All of us in this group have suffered a tremendous loss and as long as we stick
together, we can and will make a difference

.All of our stories are sad and all of them need to be told so that people understand the human cost of
this war. We are committed to truth and to bringing an end to the war in Iraq.

We will build strong partnerships with like-minded organizations.

PURPOSE

WAYS TO ACHIEVE OUR PURPOSE:
Provide support and to empower those who have been affected by the invasion/occupation of Iraq.
Raise awareness in the United States about the true human costs of the invasion/occupation of Iraq.
Reach out to families who have lost a loved one as a result of war.

Who Can Join?
Only those whose relative or loved one served in the military and was killed or who died (including
suicide) during the period including the build-up to the wars in Iraq & Afghanistan. (Sept 2001).

Never, ever enter an illegal war again

MILITARY FAMILIES SPEAK OUT is an organization of people opposed to the war in Iraq who
have relatives or loved ones in the military. Our membership currently includes over 3,000 military
