| 7.21.77- 5.30.04 Kenneth Michael Ballard was 26 years old and the only child of Karen Meredith of Mountain View, California. Ken was killed in Najaf, Iraq, during a firefight with insurgents on May 30, 2004. He was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 37th Armored Regiment, 1st Armored Division, Friedburg, Germany.
