| On Behalf of our son Pfc. Jeffrey Allen Avery and the 3,528 other Fallen If Pfc. Jeffrey Allen Avery was alive to celebrate his birthday on June twenty-first, he would have one wish. He would wish to bring the troops home from Iraq. He shares that wish with thousands of our troops deployed to Iraq. This is a wish shared, by what many of our leaders have called the common illiterate Iraqi. I know this fact because I have heard it from our son and hundreds of other troops now. The Iraqis share their thoughts with troops and it is share with those of us back home. Bush has said that an increase in troops would make things better in Iraq. Even the General in Command David H. Petraeus has reported to Congress conditions are better from the fourteenth of February to the eight of June. In fact just last week it was reported that when Gen. David Petraeus drives through the streets of Iraq's capital, he sees "astonishing signs of normalcy" in half, perhaps two-thirds of Baghdad. Why then has death totals of US Troops increased since the middle of February when the troop number increased. Bush stated years ago that we needed to go into Iraq to stop genocide in Iraq. That has not happened; genocide is now being committed on our own troops by the Government that issues their paychecks. When will the genocide end? According to a recent CNN poll, 68 percent of those surveyed oppose the war. Have polls been conducted on what the troops think or what the common Iraqi thinks? The percentage of troops who believe no one other than Iraqis belong there is even higher. A person should just listen to troops, Iraqis, the 68 percent polled and those not polled. That Person is George W. Bush, Commander In Chief. We support our troops; just not this war and so should you.
