Don’tcha just love how the high-ranking, neo-conservative, “leaders” of this country continuously exploit these
bills?  Most likely because the people in this country seem not to pay much mind to it and are duped.

In Cheney’s recent visit to Iraq, he said that the new bill presented by Congress is disastrous and a major
setback for our troops.  Did they mention anything about this initial $87 million that did not provide the troops with
the “necessary equipment”, which it was promised for?  Nope.  Did that money feed the troops?  Nope.  Did that
money up-armor the troops’ Humvee’s?  Nope.  My question is, what did that money do?

As the troops’ food was being rationed, Cheney was feasting on scrambled eggs.  This is more than
unacceptable.  If this government cares so much about the soldiers, why have they given them so little?  The
answer is that they do not fill in the population of this country and say that the Democrats are self-hating
Americans who introduce such bills to demoralize the troops and it is solely for political purposes and reasons.
God, I hope people don’t believe these statements which are, in themselves, solely for political purposes and
reasons.  They do nothing but support this so-called “war on terror”.  For some reason, September 11th is still
mentioned when speaking of Iraq.  Again, more misinformation preached to the American public.  It is
despicable that they are saying such things for political gain.

If you remember, during the State of the Union, Bush said that he welcomes Pelosi and is looking forward to
working with her.  What a farce and what a lie!  Hey, what’s new with this guy?  Time and time again he is
dishonest, thus his approval rating in sub-30% (28%, to be exact).  The war is more than unpopular but they stick
by it, they keep saying that it is making America safe and all of the other free countries from terrorist.  Bullshit.
The American public voted against this war but they continue on, keep saying it is best for us and it will protect
us.  If they do not believe the American public then it is a dictatorship.

Aside from us in the US being against the war, the Iraqi people are also opposed.  With curfews and even a wall
being built, who would be happy with this “occupation”?  As for the troops’ support/disapproval of this war, they
are tightlipped about their views on it all.  I am ignorant to all of their thoughts but when Cheney stepped onto
stage for his speech, he was applauded.  This is somewhat out of obligation for the troops/citizens but maybe
these were only selected troops who support the Vice President?  If you remember, that also happened during
Bush’s Thanksgiving visit during the first year of this war.  Yeah, the one with the plastic turkey.  If they are trying
to convey to the public that they support and respect the troops then be honest with them and us.  Although some
of the troops may have been supportive of Cheney, none of them were pleased with their extended tours or
increasingly constant deployments.

The Bush administration is opposed to the Iraqi parliament taking a two-month vacation and say that it is “not
acceptable.”  However, by that token, why does Bush take a one-month vacation in August?  Does he think that
we are not in a dire situation, too?  Treat the country you lead just as you would another, if you are in such
shambles.  Bush needs these breaks because he does such “hard work”.  So arrogant

In this country, there is a well known patriotic song, “God Bless the USA”.  In that song, there is a line that is: “I’m
proud to be an American where at least I know I’m free”

Pssst, think agian
